I would have to disagree and say that cnc lathes are the ultimate tool, but, then again, not many of us can afford one of those.

Some "sprinkler" valves are rated for more than 300 psi, it just depends on what type you have. If the regulator is only putting out 140 psi, I would suggest using it to pressurise big pneumatics that you don't want to fill with a hand pump, or to use it as a constant air supply for a strafer if the regulator's flow rate is high enough.

Jack: I know that you really want to see a 500 psi cloud, so I will build one by the end of September, just for you. (no, really, I will)

I've been *really* tempted to go down that route, I have a 300 bar SCUBA tank in my room that I've been dying to hook up directly to a cloud :D

The way I see it, no amount of plungers and different vortex designs is going to better BBMG performance as it is now - the only way to do that is by massively increasing the pressure.

There was a member on here from Northern Europe whose name escapes me that posted a HP BBMG prototype but I can't seem to find the link.

Well, 500 psi shouldn't be much of a problem for me, as long as the regulator has a high enough flow (if not, I'll have to make a large steel tank to store the 500 psi nitrogen between the reg and the gun, kind of like the way a compressor uses an air tank). I would agree that this will greatly increase performance, but once again, it will not be a great development in BBMG technology, since most people don't have the capabilities to use such high pressure.

I already have a ~2 foot long airsoft barrel lying around, so I can epoxy it into a fitting, and then I just need a chamber. I may start a thread for this project after I get the tank and regulator.

i just got this working i had to buy a air blower attachment for $20 to get the male BCD connection out of it. some thing like this
Image
It puts out about 120psi so i feel much safer using it. i don't know how good the flow is because i don't want to fully open the tank encase i need to close it quickly.

thanks!!!
