S.P.E.C.S update mk 1 construction begining in febuary all the maths for it are done plans are drawn up and parts are listed.

Yeah that would be it, I had a similar problem glueing over paint.
I doubt DWV would blow at 50psi, but because of the shallow socket depths and the paint, i'm not surprised it went at 50psi.thespeedycicada wrote:well thars your problem!and yes the fittings were dwv
You know, you could have just posted at the start that the reason for the failure was DWV fittings, and saved us about a page of debating.

Rag, I find myself agreeing with you.I've done tons of PVC repairs on water and low pressure lines(irrigation).My well runs about 50 psi line pressure and I've never had one break open after I've fixed it. I don't even give 2 minutes dry time.Obviously this kid had serious ID10T errors or faulty fittings.I would think that it would possibly hold 50 psi on JUST 4 hours of curing time.
Of course all my guns sit for 2-3 days before I even attempt to pressurize the system.Even then I pressurize in stages to check for faults or leaks.
