This is the latest in my arsenal. It's an 8mm Boomstick. I've never made a gun so powerful. I got shitty with schrader valves leaking so I hooked up a compressor quick connector between the gun and the pump. It's perfect now.
At 250psi which I normally shoot it at, It hits with a hell of alot of punch. It sounds like a bullwhip going off.
Enjoy

Your pilot volume makes JSR cry

but go on, give us some damage pics
Why "only" 250 psi? Surely it can take 300-400 easily?

Haha the pilot isn't that bad at all. I could set off the gun with the schrader valve when I was filling up that way but eehhh, It could be sooo much smaller still

I'll post some damage picies tomorrow.
Anyone got an idea of what I should shoot?

8mm berries that are hard and pretty heavy so when they hit, they hit hard and splatter like a paint ball.
8mm plastic bb's (totally crap because they are so brittle and just shatter...but they're cheap!)
8mm pebbles with wadding
8mm lead sinkers with wadding
homemade darts

lead sinkers/darts through sheet metal will be appreciated
How about taping together a stack of coins and see how many you can punch through with a nail dart?

No need to get sophisticated, a 1 or 2 inch masonry nail wrapped in tape to fit the barrel works well as long as it's close to the muzzle, that's exactly what I did

Great looking gun you got there.
Just wondering what you used as a piston?
P.S have you tried using a solid rubber piston yet?
In epoxy we trust.

It's a solid rubber piston that's in there

. It's an absolutely perfect fit. The only problem is I can't really use the gun at any lower then about 50psi. It takes that much pressure build up behind the piston and to release into the chamber but ehh.....The power at 150-300 is good enough for me

i bought dried out peas bout 3000 for 2 bucks pretty good size wize some are a bit big for the barrel some are to small but they work fine in my her rifles they go through the bottom of the can and the put a crack in the top so whats that about 450 fps not bad for a home made lol.
try making hunting darts small and light weight made out of shoelaces and a pin, pm if you want more info

Haha your close mate but not quite

it's polished galvanised pipe and the ID of the barrel is 8mm

Just a wee bit too small for a battery.
Haha I just noticed that ya read wrong in the post before. I shoot 8mm berries, not 8mm batteries
