I've read the entire topic on sprinkler valve troubleshooting and still my modded valve leaks all the air out of the blowgun. Any other ideas would be much appreciated because I am using a 1" ball valve in the mean time and it isn't phenomenal.

If I got you right, its the blowgun and not the diaphragm valve that leaks.
If that is the case, I would just go guy a new blowgun, as it appears to be your problem. If you don't want to, try injecting it with some silicone grease and see if that helps. (Don't use regular grease, it will melt any rubber or plastic parts that might help the gunseal).

If You have it on right, you should have it like the ones below. It needs to be screwed into the 1/4 inch NPT side of th blowgun, not the 1/8 inch side FYI.

not 100% sure if this is safe or not i asking the smarts people on this site...let them tell u if it safe before you try it but when i had a leak in my first cannon i dip the whole thing under water in my pool i not sure how safe that is with a sprinkler valve cuz i had a ball valve at the time of me doing so
if any one says it safe to hold the whole thing under fill it up and try it

Eh that's safe enough. But that only shows where the leak is and Thumbz has already said it's leaking from the blowgun.

I fixed it. It was because the equalization hole was way to big. Now my cannon works like a charm. Powerfull as hell
