My new copper coax with a custom wood stock
Wow, i am pretty much done with my stock and now working on the good gun itself. This was the exact same design that i have been working on for the past 3 months!
People call me ThunderChunks...I dont even know why...

Jook, my bad!
I think those are LOADED rounds, not loose balls.
Stock # 6000 is for .310 round ball. A box of 100 for $10 . A MUCH better deal.

Awesome cannon, any chance of some damage pics?

My compliments Jook! Very nice craftmanship overall. Looks like a great cannon if you can get the pressure up and just great woodwork on the stock!!
This may be a good candidate to go with some reg'ed CO2 and dump that pooped out fridge compressor.

wow...how come I haven't seen it before.... ?
great gun, great craftmanship... I wouldn't have the skill nor patience to make that stock
@starman CO2 allows portablility (which is always nice) but it cost money (and using CO 2 means lower performance)
jook get that new fridge compressor running soon... your gun deserves to be fired at 500 psi

Oh I'm aware. But dragging that fridge compressor around with you is a real pain in the petunia. Really depends on the usage though. I think portability will mostly trump the edge compressed air gives over CO2.POLAND_SPUD wrote: @starman CO2 allows portablility (which is always nice) but it cost money (and using CO 2 means lower performance)
Somehow I see this nice gun roaming the woods!!

yeah portability is a nice feature... and you are 100% right here... but there are other factors that have to be taken into consideration... fittings, regs and CO2 cost too much for an average spudder.. otherwise everyone would be using it...

Just a little teaser of a damage pic. That is a quarter, and that is a nail that was wrapped in tape. The sharp end of the nail went into the wooden backstop as far as the nail is sticking through. So basically it went through the quarter and about 1 and 1/4 inch into the wood behind it. That was at 150 psi and shot pretty much point.
I bent the nail up a bit pulling it out (and destroyed the tape that was wrapped around it...). So like I said, this is a teaser kinda until I get a decent video and some interesting things to shoot.

I love the gun though. I want an ergonomic smallbore launcher....

That would be an interesting shot, something like the mythbuster's take on Robin Hood style splitting arrowsKash munni wrote:The nail went through the nail?!?

not really; it is a coax. that means the barrel goes into the chamber almost all the way(probably around 2 inches from the back endcap. you could technically dremel out a bolt area, and put a bolt in, but that seems like too much work, at least to mejakob wrote:Is it possible to make a breach loading system for this gun ?

I am sure it can be done, but its very tough. I think I even read about someone who has done it, but I am not sure.
