This is one of my first pneumatics. It uses a coaxial idea, meaning the barrel is in the compression chamber, but there is no piston, just one lame sprinkler valve.
This is the only picture I have of this right now, I will take more when i go home for the weekend, but you cant see the whole thing. The idea was to have it load at the breech, which is located just under my arm.
Basically the air is put into the 3'' pipe from a shraeder valve located at the bottom of the 3'' tee. It fills up around the barrel and into the bottom grip area. (The wiring and tape is just a momentary switch and batteries for the sprinkler valve)...
Which I will mod and prob use in the piston valve gun i plan to make for Easter! Perhaps i can launch some eggs... hmmm.
Anyway, once the sprinkler opens the air goes around to the back which is the barrel. Right under my elbow is a tee with a female adapter and a cap. Which allowed me to unscrew the back of the barrel and put the potato in (breech loader kinda)... Works really well, I dremeled down some parts though where I had to slip the pipe through which were a little leaky (where the black epoxy is). It makes a sketchy creeky noise sometime so I don't use it much, but it was effective... I can't imagine the power of a Piston valve instead of a wimpy 1 inch valve.
So its basic, but a little different because I used coaxial concept. A stepping stone for us beginners.
I am also very photogenic as you can tell lol.[/img]

I dont think ive ever seen someone use that layout. I like it alot
Nice layout. I havent seen that in a while. Good job!
Bit of paint wouldnt hurt the thing, and modding the sprinkler is highly recommended.
Another point for improvement is to move the sprinkler up so that it comes after the bends. The bends are now making dead space, but then they will be chamber.
As far as I can tell from the picture, you seem to be very happy with it. Have fun.

Yep;that tee just above your hand aint gonna hold pressure. Otherwise, cool!

O really. This is from a year or two ago so I don't really remember. I usually check the parts to see the pressure rating that's usually put on there somewhere. I don't think I have gone above 50 psi good thing I guess. I'm gonna scrap it anyway for my piston gun soon.
