New Valve!....Back filled push-button valve!
Hey guys,
This is my new little creation. I've seen a few nice push valves on here so I thought I'd take it to the next level. I wanted something compact that had extremely high efficiency so I tried my best to make a push button valve that allowed for back filling. The pilot area on this is virtually nothing. The back of the o ringed bolt sits a fraction behind the piston in the QEV. With this said it's as efficient and powerful as it can get using the pressure I am (120 psi until I fix my pump).
As far as the tools go, it was as simple as you can get. A bolt, 2 o-rings, a hack saw, a file and a drill press.

interesting,but like mentioned in other threads,i think you will have extreme difficulty trying to depress the bolt at higher pressures,maybe a leverage system should be in place..!!

Price, pressure rating, performance, e-peen enlargement factor... take your pick
The only thing I can see bothering the layout is you've still got the button facing the other way to the barrel which means for this increase in efficiency you'll still have to loop the barrel round or use a mechanical linkage to depress the button.

Well...it's clearly set up for a hammer valve...
Like you would expect...I LOVE IT!
You might experience the O-ring on the valve will get " stuck" at higher pressures unless you superglue it in place though...
When pressing the button under higer pressure he O-ring will remain seated while the stem moves through it...
As mentioned, some superglue will fix this.

Thank you all for the comments. As far as the price goes, I had all the parts here but gosh.....5 bucks for the T, a few cents for the bolt and about a dollar for both o rings so it definitely out weighs a blow gun for 10 or more dollars.
BTB, a hammer valve indeed I've come up with a very, very simple trigger mechanism based off your Shatterhand repeater. Basically you pull the trigger, and the top half of the trigger hits the bolt. Simple as that. I did actually have problems with keeping the o rings in place so for now I've just super glued them. When the pressures I've been limited to it's been working fine. When I bump up the pressure I'll get some aluminum tubing and use that as spacers between the o rings so they have nowhere to go.
Twizi, I'll pull it apart and add a diagram for you to show the bolt

The trigger you think of is meant for a single shot.A hammer will give you many.
Another way to go about it ( giving away an original idea of mine before it's time)
is to have the top of the trigger being able to turn towards the valve, but not back.Than springload the top section to stay upright, touching the valvestem.Pull the trigger and the top will push the valvestem, as it is locked in position.
THe rotation of the trigger means it will rotate out of the path of the valvestem.CLICK.valve stem pops back as it is no longer pushed by the top of the trigger.
Shot fired, valve closed immediately after..
Release the trigger, the top then folds on the return to get back in position..
Semi auto.Right there baby...

Well with my current limit of 120psi, a multishot repeater is some what useless. I might aswell go to a toy shop and get a cheap chinese bb pistol haha.
For now just having a hammer valve that works is great. It's my first time ever making something like this so I'm happy it even works but no doubt my thirst for more pressure and shots will grow
