well this is the riot gun replica
good, small gun. not to mention POWERFULL. i had to buy a new end cap caus the bike valve on the last one shot out. needless to say it hurt my friend pretty bad i was just gonna shoot air at him to see if he felt it. ouch. pretty good gun it shot right through 3 layers of ply at 40bar. wow strong steel, or just weak ply anyway youll be hearing more from me.
EDIT: have modded gun and shoots WAY BETTER like 1000 fps. anyway my camera isnt working so heres a diagram. i added a longer chamber and barrel and a piston

Nice material and I really like the fact you can get it up to 40 bar!!
I've been thinking about copying my own gun but using galvanised steel this time. It'll have to wait till I can afford it.
Why don't you use a piston valve design?? It would really kick butt then!A piston gives you a faster opening.
And if you can get a bigger barrel ( like the 28 mm pipe I use) the gun wil be much more powerful.

This is the basic idea.A piston slides in the pipe connecting the Tee to the ballvalve. The diameter of the piston should be bigger than the barrelport.
Get some neoprene rubber for a piston sealing surface.THe piston can be made out of a bolt, some washers( inside pipe diameter) and some nuts.
To prevent the piston from tumbling, enclose a length of pipe between the washers.
The insides are shown in the dominator thread. It shows the piston made this way.

With that much pressure i would keep the ballvalve (as it is safe) and use a pneumatic ram to actuate it. You can make your own an they can open a ball valve in about 75ms!
