the designs for my paint ball gun are almost finished. because there is already a QVE in ti i have decided to add a selector valve to my exaust port on selection 1 i will have nothing the gun will react normally and shoot a single round. on selection 2 i will have a poppet valve giving my paint ball gun a new edge.
now to do this i need crucial infirmation.
what is the firing pressure of a paint ball gun.
a sugestion for a suitibial regulator for the compressed air into the chambers. VERY IMPORTANT MUST TURN OF WHEN pressure IS REACHED.
I DO NOT LIKE PVC SPLINTERS IN MY FACE.
on a lighter note the semi outo settin will be slightly more powerful than auto because the poppet valve fires at a slightly lower pressure than the source so that it fires.
does ane one know the actual firing presur of a PBG?
Normal paintball guns can operate at pressures from 100 psi - 1000 psi upwards, for your designs I would suggest about around the 100- 300 psi range (this is the firing pressure for your average paintball gun)
but pressure- power really depends on how big your chamber is cos the longer barrel and the bigger the chamber the lower pressures you can operate your gun at.
I have made paintball guns out of pvc that fired at about 80 psi with a long barrel, it was only single shot but that pressure was enough to make it a very accurate and powerful gun.
Hope this helps

Look here.
Find something that has the same tank thread type you want, then verify it with us to make sure you didn't overlook something. You probably won't need more than 200 psi, even with a shorter barrel.
