Looking good! That is one good sealing piston it looks like. Does it slide smooth on its own or do you have to lube it.

Has this type piston gun been made before? I think this is a very original cannon and should have some great results!

OH NO. The bell reducers you used are not pressure rated. But nice work.

SpudStuff is right. If I were you, I would cut those out now and replace them with couplers and reducing bushings.

you will have alot more fun with it taking it to 100psi without being skeptical of it blowing and if you ever want to sell it its best to have pressure rated parts.

A 35 year retired plumber working at Home Depot told me if it's that thick it's sch40, and pressure rated. I ask him about those reducers spacificly, and he said yes, pressure rated. If they blow, i'll cut them off, go back up, make my case for him to wear them as earrings for the rest of the day, sound cool?

Frick'! Everyone just goes around blabbing what they heard the last person saying without any backing, except so-and-so told me. Bell reducers are relativly the same thickness. The concern lyes in the shorter socket depth, not the thickness of the fitting. You could have 1' thick walls and have a low surface area of a short socket depth resulting in a failure.

No, it is what i used to chuck it in my drill press so i could sand it down to size quickly, worked like a champ, (champs work really really good!).

The man i'm repeating has 35 years experance, told me they are good to 120psi, if they are good for that, i aint gonna sweat about it, besides, i'm useing 1/4" cage wire to protect from gernadeing.

They will eather hold, or they won't. I'll bet you your pay check i'm gonna find out!

I was looking to go the other way, (reducers), but they didn't have any that went from 3" to 2", i coundn't get it to go into the 3" chamber, the reducers that said 3 to 2" wouldn't fit inside the 3" pipe i'm useing for chambers, and i looked all around, nobody had them, got tired of wasting my gas!

Like i said, i bet i find out!
