Is this concept feasible?

Air pressure in bottle 700 psi via fridge compressor.

chamber size 100 mm x 13 mm.

Bore 8 mm

barrel 600 mm

Ammo 7.5 mm BB

quick connect bottle to chamber, screw on barrel, ready to shoot.

I'm relatively positive that the QEV you're using is not rated for 700 PSI (or anything even close to that). It looks like you might be using a regulator, but if not, make sure you do.

No replies in a day doesn't mean there's no interest.

Now, you will need to reg as Shiddymunkie said, but, this is a big butt (and I can not lie), you'll get bugger all shots from it. I mean 5 if you're lucky. Now, run CO2/HPA through it, and get a way smaller chamber, then you'll see a respectable amount of shots.

Also, 7.5mm BBs in an 8mm barrel will give you groupings much like a 3 year old throwing turds at a wall. It won't be a "sniper", no matter how hard you try. Go down to 6mm, and use airsoft BBs, 4.5mm or 5.5mm will be decent too. Heck, buy some 8mm airsoft BBs if you must have the 8mm barrel.

And if you say that you can't get them, I call bullshizen, they're available in every country.

Razor51 -Can you get slingshot ammo online ? I buy crossman .30 caliber "steel" ammo sold as slingshot ammo. They should fit down an 8mm. tube , if Im correct 8mm is just slightly larger than .30 of an inch. Here is an image of a different brand but same size.Or is this what you have already?

dajoro- I have measured the barrel which is sold as 8mm i.d. and it comes in at 7.62mm.

The bb's that I bought from China come in at 7.59mm.

Thats as close as I can get to fitting, if I put a small piece 1/8" wide by 1/4" long of insulation tape on the bb then it wont fit down the bore without pushing it with my thumb.

Thank you for your advice.

Not bad! I'm not too keen on the quick connect supporting the weight of the stock though, pressure bearing components should not be under that sort of strain.

Zeus, thanks for the invite I will take you up on that.

You are right about the No of shots. Using 700 psi and regged to 90 psi I got 7.

I also halved the chamber size to 50mm but that is not enough air to even push the bb half way down the barrel.

JSR, Yes I agree with you on the quick connect weight bearing, I was using this like a bazooka.(resting the bottle on my shoulder). Will have to come up with something more safety orientated.
