I was wondering how you could make your pneumatic louder?
(I have searched this and I've got nothing sorry)

Thanks for any answers...

Just a simple ball valve...it's my first pneumatic so I just thought I'd start with that, and I just wanted to make it louder because I like the big bangs!

You need a piston valve to get any noise out of a pneumatic, even then not all that loud. If you want loud, build a combustion.

You could build a wistle, or similar device, into the barrel... or some other air-powered acoustic device.

...but I doubt that would give you the sound you are looking for.

And, sorry to disappoint you, but there's not really a way to make a pneumatic make a 'bang' type sound other than to use an impressive valve, although using heavier projectiles will help slightly.

I disagree with the combustion part.
A large bore pneumatic with piston valve, short barrel and high pressure will do better.

im with brian, my LRTC has left my ears ringing at pressures of 60 psi and higher. its really the amount of air flow you let out at once that contirbutes to the loudness.

i have a twin QEV copper launcher, which makes a huge crack when fired at 100psi - other peoples QEV's also make large amounts of noise, i think because of the high flow rate and the speed of opening, also i think maybe?? the copper gives out good acoustics but i am not certain on that!!!

You could try shooting bombs but that might end in a bad way. I'm with jrrdw if you want loud, go combustion. More bang for your buck.

I can play “Ode to Joy” on my big sprinkler valve pneumatic and it’s really loud, or I could before it stopped honking…
I doubt that’s what you’re talking about…
Call me "Judge", it's easier to type.
