Probably not too much better. You want something light, like aluminum foil. The idea is to have a high burst pressure with minimal risk of injury. I would think that flying bits of sharp plastic would probably cause injury.

Your best bet is to consult the builder's guides and the Cannon WIKI here at spudfiles.com. Advice from experienced pros should help you on your quest. Best of all, it is completely free. If you have a question that is not answered by a thread or the FAQ or FYI Sections, start a new topic (make sure there isn't one already) and post a question. There are loads of people that will help you. That's the purpose of a forum.

Take it from a veteran,
The best knowledge, by far, comes from experience.

gots one more question, the smaller your pinhole is the more delay right? and if the outside chamber(the one thats going to fill the pin hole ) is lower volume then the inside chamber(the one thats going to get filled by the pinhole leak) will the disk still successfully burst?

That depends on the pressure you put in. Say you pump in 50 psi. By the time the firing chamber fills, you're left with less than 25 psi.

Also Smaller pinhole=better.

ah yes so if i put in a sch 80 firing chamber it would be a little better right cause it takes longer to fill if your firing chamber is larger. Does a 3/4 inch end cap fit behind the reducer? with enough volume to still have a good psi in the firing chamber?
