Well its a bit late as I already bought all the parts except the air tank, regulator and a pressure gauge for the top of the air chamber. Also I was trying to figure out that GGDT thing but it wasnt working for me. Im sure it was user error tho lol.
While in town I stopped at a scuba shop and talked to the owner and his Air table has 3000 PSI going in and an inline internally adjustable regulator, that is shorter than a roll of pennies, brings it down to 110 working PSI. All connected with standard 1/4" fittings and braided hose.
So im trying to find something like that. I figure I can use a paintball drop down connector to connect the air tank to the gun and use that hose with 1/4" connectors to plug into that regulator that connects as my diagram shows.
Also the main reason for the HPA tank is for more shots on one tank than the CO2 I originally thought of.

Have you considered using a slide valve as a pilot instead of a blowgun?
That way, you can hook the supply from your reg directly to it, effectively making your sprinkler valve semi-auto.

My current idea is to use the standard threaded hose to connect the regulator to the fill valve and then the tank to the regulator but i cant figure out how to mount the ASA to the launcher without drilling more holes into the bottom of the air chamber.

Im still trying to figure out those QEV valves but I cant find a 1" one and all my fittings are for 1" with the sprinkler valve I bought. I havent modded it yet because I like the idea of the QEV but are they really that much more efficient?

A QEV and sprinkler valve work on pretty much the same principle, the different is that a QEV tends to be made to a heavier duty specification. Not efficient but for a given size way more flow, you probably wont find a 1'' QEV and if you do it will be expensive but you can find dust collector valves witch a basically the same thing but have diaphragm instead of piston still very powerful.Wizard wrote:because I like the idea of the QEV but are they really that much more efficient?

Ok I think I am now understanding the concept now, but I dont think it would work for this application because I want to be able to control how much of that 100 PSI is being put into the tank.
For example I have a max distance of 150 feet to either side of me to the top far corners of the stands to launch shirts and anything further than that would put it past the stands. So lets say for easy math 100 psi will launch a shirt to exactly 150'.
If I used that semi auto method and always filled to 100 psi I would be able to get shirts to the ppl on the far ends of either side of me. But if I launched them straight in front of me the shirts would either fly over the heads of everyone and land in the parking lot or I would bean someones grandma in the face with a solid rolled shirt at full power.
So thats why I used the 2nd ball valve on the filling port to be able to shut the air off anywhere from 1-99 psi if I dont want full power for shorter launch distances.
I think I may play with the idea of a QEV in place of my sprinkler valve once I see how my current setup does. Im not sealing the threads going into the sprinkler valve with anything more than liquid teflon so that if something goes wrong with it I can replace it.
But I do have a new idea for the semi auto setup using a pony SCBA tank hehehe

Well I got the last of my parts in except the mounting ring from palmers just now this morning. So hopefully I can get it all set up and tested this weekend and just wait to mount the bottle to the gun till monday.

I didn't read any of the replies but I'm quite fond of the Palmer Pursuit Female Regulator. It'll hook right up to your paintball tank and give you two 1/8" NPT side outlets.
