Thank you.
The slug was actually cast. I just melted some 50/50 solder into the mould to get an idea whether it would work or not.
It dumps the entire chamber with each shot.
Steps have been taken to smooth the flow of the air path ( ), I do not believe heating will be a problem.
The more you look around this site, the bigger that grin is going to get.
Hey Mitch.
Looking forward to it.

@ Jack;
Thank you. Me too! I will wear hearing protection.
@ Spudfarm...BIG BOOM! (that I won't be able to hear )
Hey Mitch;
Thanks. Yes, SLOWLY getting there.
It's ok, I would really rather get it right the first time, and not have to spend weeks re-doing things.

9000 PSI?!?!? How are you going to test fire it? I'll bet that would completely shatter a tree!
I'm getting all goosebumpy just thinking about that.

WOW.... i can't wait to see the damage shots from a 3000psi shot! (post pics of your ruptured eardrums too ) i reckon your neighbours will think something has exploded but you should definitly machine yourself a massive surpressor, they not only look cool, they sound cool and protect your hearing 8)

@Ant, this will explain it better than I could, and in less time.
I used oil and the dead weight tester at my work.

@ ALI, How many times do I have to post that I WILL use hearing protection?
As to the suppressor, they are HIGHLY illegal here under any circumstances.
I'll just have to use the ear plugs.
My nearest neighbor is 3/4 of a mile, so I won't worry too much about the noise bothering them.

Without the spring it can't be fed chamberside, but it will still function as a repeater.With the hammer valve that acuates this gun, it's hard to say if it'll be a repeater or not. Unless there is a spring behind the piston, it won't be a repeater. I just finished my high pressure repeater that uses a high flow modded pop off valve, almost no pilot area and a spring behind the piston, I'll have to post it soon!
I've tested the principle numerous times, starting with my first repeater over 5 years ago.
And Yes...you will have to post it soon!!

Cool as that would be, it's only proven that it wont burst at 6000 psi. If he accidentally filled it to 6001 psi, it might burst. He is leaving a safety factor. Also, you'd be hard pressed to find a 6000 psi tank.

i just thought that if you somehow put a .177 barrel on the gun at 9000 psi
i wonder how fast it will go? where did you get your chamber from?
Edit: ggdt says 18,000 fps thats insanely powerful. iwonder what would stop a bb going .177 fps
sorry for kicking up an old topic.

It's not really old, it just kicks up when the creator updates his build status.
As for GGDT, it has issues modeling high pressures, so it is very unreliable at say 9000 psi. Of course, It would certainly be neat to shoot at 18000 fps! Also, most gasses at room temperature won't pressurize to 9000 psi. Take CO2. It can only compress to ~850 psi at approximately room temperature. I like your thinking though! Always wanting to go balls out
