Nicely done hubb, of course there will always be n00bs who still don't get it, but you've cut down their numbers considerably
Thanks. And, yeah, I know someone will still ask every now and then. But, now, instead of us getting frustrated, they can be pointed here, and they should learn more than what they hoped for. That is, unless, they can't figure out how to download the file.
On a serious note, I've added more to the book, however, I have not taken any new photos. The descriptions are there, though, and could probably be understood.

Bumped.
The revised copy is posted in place of the original. It contains a buttload more information and a lot more detail. It, however, is not complete, as I still need to add some pics. It's still worth it, though.
The final copy will be posted next week.
Again, guys, thanks for the positive feedback. I didn't realize something like this would be taken like it has been.
Until then, Merry Christmas to all and to all a good spuddin'

Final, completed edition has been posted. Mods, sorry for all the consecutive posts. They can be deleted if you guys see fit.

The New Document will not upload on my computer, not a PDF. i right clicked with the mouse and selected "save target as". and it didn't work.
Looks good to me. For those people without WinRAR, I've uploaded the raw PDF of the new version here:

Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?
Was it able to be downloaded? If so, the document is zipped. Unzip it first.
And, btw, it is PDF when it's unzipped.

Is my piston mod new? I've never seen it before, but had a brain fart when I was constructing the diaphragm mod, which was copied and perfected from this site by noname (for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, it's time to read the book ).

I don't think anyone here knows which valve opens quicker, even if you did proper testing, there'd be so little difference it wouldn't matter i'd imagine.ralphd wrote:Which valve is best? I read that rain bird is good because the cap is thicker and better for threading but which valve is quicker to open?

As long as the Sprinkler fits within your pressure requirements and your dimensional design constraints, wouldn't bigger always be better? Since bigger = less flow restriction?

Not really, just chuck on the biggest valve you can get your hands on. Though if you're using a 1" sprinkler with a 6mm barrel, you may as well use a 3/4" sprinkler.ralphd wrote:Another sprinkler question then I'm done, for now.....is there a valve size to barrel ratio that is optimal? ex. 1" valve for 1 1/2 barrel
