My first pneumatic launcher designed for old guys like myself.

24 inch by 4 inch diameter chamber.
30 inch by 2 inch diameter barrel.

The Weathermatic 1.5 inch sprinkler valve is actuated by a 1 inch Orbit which is then piloted by a modified tire inflator.

My ammo preferences are; Nerf Pocket Vortex football, foam practice golf balls, small whiffle balls, foam pet toy balls and foam toy rockets.

I use closed cell foam stress balls for a sabot/wadding. This gives both a tighter seal and also cushions the projectiles.

Constructive criticism welcome.

How deliciously nefarious. I have never seen a sprinkler valve actuate another sprinkler valve before.

Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "armchair pundit", well done :) I particularly like the triggering setup

Good job. The cannon looks great. My only compaint is the DWV bell on the chamber. Bummer.

It seems like it would be uncomfortable to sit in and fire at the same time. However, the chair with its tilt and lock functions makes an outstanding base for a cannon.

The first pic shows that the gun can come off the chair, but how does the tank support attach to the chair? I am assuming that it is attached.

Where did you find the 1.5" sprinkler and how much did you pay? I like the triggering setup.

@mega_swordsman

There is one on here, but it was a random cannon, so I don't have the link.

On Topic... That is a great idea! (And well executed!) Next mount it to an airplane for air to air battles! :D

Very good idea. I should mount a pneumatic to my bike. That'd be cool. And then tow my trebuchet behind.

Do you happen to live in Duluth, MN? The background in those pictures looks awfully familiar.
