Well it has finally come down to this. Its almost done. I got the cannon working....finally. This was my third try at a barrel sealing piston cannon and at first, it didnt work. I found out i had leaks in my cannon from where i dremeled out the threads to slip the barrel in and so that had to be sealed with some good old epoxy. Well air still leaks through, but little and now the can can operate at higher Psi's. But ill give some specs and the pics. The bumper is now under reconstruction (just gotta fix the bumper, no big deal) so i can post damage pics yet.

Specs
Fill Valve: Schrader Valve
Pilot Valve: 1/4 inch ball valve
Pilot: Too much
Piston: Hot glue
Piston sealing face: 1 layer of tire innertube
Bumper: Pool Noodle :D
Barrel: 3/4 inch diameter
Chamber: 1.5 inch diameter

The ammo was simply a nail, wrapped in tape for a tight fit.

Tell me what ya think :)

Make fun of my gun when you see the pics. The barrel and the chamber are not aligned, by alot. So get a good laugh out of it.

Lol, it is pretty crooked. Reminds me of how my bbmg turned out. Cool though.

That's pretty cool, It does quite a bit of damage too. Also, in my opinion, it doesn't matter how crooked the body of the gun is, as long as the barrel is straight.

Thanks but yea i need to align the barrel somehow and i need a support so i need to think of a way how to use a crooked chamber to help support my barrel.

Nice, as long as it works nothing wrong with it being crooked.

How did you get it so crooked anyway?

Nice so you finally got it working. You should clean up your epoxy job. You should have put threads on the bottom of the valve so you can remove the chamber and make it bigger. Plus it would be straight.

Well MrCrowley what i did was simple, just glued it crooked and it was too late to fix it. I should have made the chamber threaded also, and i did see threaded elbows and T's, but i just didnt really think about that. How could i clean up the epoxy job?

Well done on a working cannon! Pity 'bout the linear alignment but meh, it shoots holes through coins, kewl!
What do your siblings think about you accomplishment?

Edit Name it "Ugly Duckling", true but still cute!

Yea thats not a bad name id say. then i could give it a nice paintjob and there you have it, some ugly ducklin'. How do yo know i hae sibilings? well nvm anyway i think i kno how, but they dont care. My bro is a prep and doesnt care about this stuff, even though he tried to build a combustion once. Then i have a sis who doesnt care also. And as you noticed in the pics, its fall here and i think this is my last gun for the fall. I will make plans during the winter for a rlly good piston valve and make it in the spring. Pneumatic spudding season is almost over.

Its really ghetto.

Put o-rings on it.

well i think im happy for now. I dont know where i can get o-rings. But it should be pretty easy to take a hobby knife and just cut some grooves into a hot glue piston.
