Hey guys,
I am planning on building something similar to this :

And I am wondering how I could get a good firing mechanism to work on it.
I think that utilizes a microswitch like on a paintball gun, that leads to a electronic sprinkler valve. Am I correct?
Also, where could I get a 150psi electronic sprinkler valve?

thanks guys!

When you buy a sprinkler valve there's a so called solenoid valve screwt in it. That solenoid valve has two wires, connect the two wires to 3 9V batteries and the solenoid valve wil open. But the sprinkler valve will open faster if you mod the valve :!: .

I like the design and the mods to make it like a real gun, but persoanally i think the performance sucks!! . If you build something similar to this, make sure its pretty powerful. My piston valve cannon does more than that at 100 psi. Maybe he didnt mod the valve. :?:

Ok use a qev, they are very sensitive and can handle 150 but sometimes more. They are not electronic but they are very sensitive. They are essentially really nice prebuilt piston valves that are super durable andvery difficult to break.
