This is the marshmallow gun, it works similarly to a blowgun, and is a lot of fun, especially with kids.
They are also something safe to shoot at your friends, or see who can knock down the empty soda can.
This is really easy and cheap to make, everything costs about $2-3.
It is made of 1/2" PVC, either pressure rated, or cellular core. (Since there is no high pressure).
Materials include about 1 1/2' of pipe, 2 end caps, 2 tees, and 2 elbows. Just glue them together like it shows in the picture. The marshmallow is just inserted into the mouthpiece, and then you blow into the mouthpiece. If you have a larger mouth, you can always add an adapter onto the mouth-piece to make it larger I have never tried this gun, it seems as the marshmallow would get stuck in the T, but it still looks fun.

Yes, I am the guy that owns & operates SpudFiles (along with our extremely helpful moderators).
those are a ton of fun i made a few that have longer barrels and some of the other pieces are a bit longer than normal and it is really accurate i also made one out of 3/4 inch and i can shoot paintballs out of it. but all in all they are great as gifts for kids of all ages and fun at partys

man, add a chamber to the mouthpiece, pressurize to 110 psi, and them marshmallows will fly with little to no effort
you would have to use that method with the hole in to load ammo and slide a piece of pipe over that or have a screw on/off chamber

i dont know how old this topic is but i have bought one of these at a lakefront yardsale and sinse tried to paint it (failure) and i have modded it so it shoots faster, farther, more accurate, (working on more comfortable but i have a concept), and sorta rapid fire (dosent work well [but might if pressurized with a valve]). ima try to post a pic of the current form and the concept drawing.
i dont know how big these are but the bottom is a concept and is made to resemble AK-47. also can some one tell me if they make (or if someone can get for me) 1/2in. sch40 pvc "wye"'s?. otherwise for the concept instead of the wye ill have to use a tee and a 45*. and yes i know i ccant draw(or mabey i can.........)
lol i know it dosent belong here but it shows i CAN draw. my mouse just dosent work good..............
have fun i dont care who builds my design.
my secret mod is a 1/2" male adapter on the end of the barrel.
and with that iv shot as far as 100 feet at least.

I guess it would, but this design adds to the looks.pyrogeek wrote:Huh, oddly enough I hadn't ever seen a marshmallow gun before. Wouldnt just a strait piece or pipe be easier, and possibly work better?

lol i converted mine to use combustion to launch a marshmellow.... i never knew marshmellow would leave such big welts lol
very simple gun.You don't even have to glue them. Those things can leave some pretty big welts if you add a ball valve, and a schrader valve. Attach an air compressor to it and blast away Say hello to my little friend.
