Hey yall,

Its been awhile since I've posted here, to be honest, its been since this forum was on the SGTC. (whew its been awhile!) Well I'm finally getting the "builders itch" again and I've got some new ideas. But first I have some questions

Does anyone have any recommendations/links of some co2 regulators that have input threads for a paintball tank and standard NTP output threads?

I've been looking at Kobalts new portable nailgun tank/regulator/hose setup and really like the idea. Easy to use, well built, and a quick dissconnect. What more could you want? I hear prices going from 50 - 80 bucks so all in all, not to shabby, just looking for other alternatives. When I search the web or this forum, I get results for large bulk tank regulators or other co2 related stuff.

I'll post my cannons on this forum this weekend when i remember how to do that haha.

Palmer's Stabilizer is your best bet. Check out their site. They have several different models and one of them (inline, also the cheapest) has 1/8" NPT input and output.

There are other CO2 regs, of course, but these seem to be the best.

If you're wanting to use paintball tanks.... Another vote for the Palmer Stabilizer.

Let me also suggest this: Try to find a paintball website (such as Action Village) other than Palmer's. They tend to be even cheaper from other retailers.

I've found that paintball regulators don't have enough flow to fill large cannons fast enough.
But I recently was given a CO2 regulator from a soda pop dispenser/kegerator at a bar. It kicks butt! It was VERY confusing to set up at first, but after some simple research, I figured out what goes where and added a quick disconnect on the output and a paintball ASA (the little thingy for paintball threads to 1/8" NPT) to the input. I can regulate anywhere from 0-200+ psi. It really is awesome. Ebay is full of them, try searching "kegerator regulator" or something. The only problem is that they're really big.

How fast are you filling your guns??

I mean, I used a paintball tank & Stabilizer to fill my "0 Wood" (RIP). It wasn't a huge gun, but it was no slouch either (golf balls to 500 fps). It didn't take but a few seconds to fill via schrader valve.

And so I'm left wondering if your guns are huge (in which case paintball tanks probably are a poor choice due to limited mass) or.... Well, or what?

Alright, I just ordered my stabilizer with the low pressure kit, just had some questions for yall who are using them. The chamber for my cannon is comprised of 2" pvc and is about 2.5' long. Is it too optimistic to expect 5-6 chamber fills at 50psi from a 20oz tank?

can anyone find them on action paintball? I can't find it anywhere!?! grrrrrrrrrr...

i dont need a regulator, i'm just lookin for a CO2 Tank to NPT adapter.
