My dad had some 6 inch and 3 inch pipe sitting in the corner of his shop and I was recently able to talk him out of a few pieces. This cannon is the result.
The Chamber is about 5 foot of 6 inch sch 40
The Barrel is about 12 foot of 3 inch sch 40
The valve is a piston (barrel sealer)
The Piston is made from 2 3" couplers
The valve is actuated by a 3/4 sprinkler valve
The ammo of choice is soup cans filled with water and rocks, then frozen.
Most of the shots in the video are between 90 and 100 PSI.
I plan to redo the pilot valve with a 2 inch splinkler as there is sometimes a delay after actuating it. Pulling the safety ball valve the same time as the sprinkler helps a lot.
So here is the damage video!

Here we have the cannon pics
And a few DAMAGE pics!
What is it called? Death of a DVD Player?
And a microwave
And a bunch of TV's
[/img]
And a Computer
Here is what the ice-slug-in-a-can looks like after going through a 13 inch TV.

Now that's what spudgunning is all about kudos!
I wish I had that sort of area to build and test a beast of such dimensions

With my 50 gallon compressor, it takes around 30 seconds to get to 90 PSI. I couldnt imagine filling this thing up with my 3 gallon Craftsman.
Thanks for the kind words guys.

awesome! microwave is cool. Imagine the recoil from a barrel full of water...

No kidding, the recoil from an ice slug made from tennis ball tube was enough to knock me back on my ass. It hurt, but was worth it.

Fullbore heavy rounds are cool but just a suggestion, how about some heavy duty darts - I don't know, put fins on these - and do some proper penetration testing?
Also, marbles in an empty soup tin for that ultimate spudding shotgun

All righty then...wow! very intimidating indeed. It looks even more monstrous than your preview from a few days ago. Sweet full 3" porting. I see you got the longer barrel extention put on there. Have you noticed or measured the performance difference from the 6'?
Your biggest problem now....where to store the thing...

I would have though getting rid of the bodies of innocent bystanders several miles downrange would be a more pressing issue

Yeah, downrange is definitely no-mans land with this thing.

Yet another post where I feel I'm not really contributing, but nonetheless I'll pop my head up to say I'm impressed.

What's with you lately, too busy apologising for racist remarks you made three years ago?

Ouch, . Me thinks that one's going to fly over the heads of all but the most avid current event types.
