I just(2 hours ago) build the prototype of the super valve that i just invented, i dont think that anybody already this idea but its really simply, #%$% simple and really, really $#%$? powerful, just to make you dream a little bit and make you do maths, the opening time of the valve is the time that a 300 fps projectiles makes 5 millimeters!!!!!!

The valve is fully automatic and i expect( resonably) to fire 2-3 RPS.

I dont have time to post the diagram because...i dont have time and i want to ask my father if it is worth a patent.

You maybe ask if it really works and i will answer YES!!! the prototype i have made is very promizing and i am very thankfull to myself to had made it because i know now things to ameliorate on the real one.

The thing that is cool is that all the pvc pipes that i will use all fit together as i want fo an paintball version( Yes, it will be an paintball gun and i will go own guys in paintball fields, i already got several offers from my school friends to buy one(cost me 50 $ to make and my friends wanna give me 100$!))

diagram please, and no offense but I'm sure it's been done before. If not at least a video of it.

I cant send specs for now because i am going to shut-off my computer, no it did'nt been done before and i am shure that if i post the diagram, you will be at your hardware store in 1 hour.

If you don't want to tell anyone about the details, then making this thread just to brag "I've got an awesome valve, and I'm not telling you a darn thing about it" seems a little odd.

Like jmeyer says, it's almost certainly done before.

However, I'm never going to write something off that simply - and although a diagram would be nice, if it is truly patentable, then you can't post details on a public forum before receiving the patent, because that would negate it.

If you would like to, there are certain forum members who you would do well to contact directly, who will be able to give you valid feedback on the matter. Firstly as to it's originality, possible improvements in design and so on and so forth - and all of whom are sufficiently trustworthy that they won't nick your idea.

Also, if you do get a patent, bear in mind that it's not going to stop this forum building versions of it. We love patents, because they contain all kinds of interesting details that make it easier to build our own - and it's all perfectly legal. Patents only prevent one making money off someone else's invention, so it's perfectly legitimate to make one for non-profit.

I want to tell the details, i am making the diagrams now, i been buzy because i was working on my prototype.

Okay, maybe this thing already got posted, but if yes, why dont evry spudfiles member dont have a gun like this? its able of full auto and semi automatic, you can even set it for 3 rounds burst.

The gun is actuated by an 3/4 inch electricaly activated sprinkler, so , with a 555 timer, you can set the firing timing you want, very simple.

The paintball loading mech is not on paint, but i am shure you can understand .

The cool thing in that is that you dont need any special modded pipes or pieces, the piston is 1 inch, its casing 1 1/4 and the whole casing 2 inch.

The paintball barrel(not in diagram) is a 3/4 inch cpvc pipe, wich fits paintball PERFECTLY.

It can work with a air compressor or co2 bottles, but i will have to find the the regulator and all that, wich i think will be the hardest for me.

maybe but i never saw a cannon that used this sort of valve.

Search before you lay claim on something.

I've seen a sprinkler valve used (in a spud gun specifically) to be actuated with a timer circuit based on a 555- i.e. it's been done before. The blow forward bolt is also in use...E.g JSR's designs and Clide's semi.

Both been done, but I don't think they've been combined if you want to be technical.

Okay, right, i'vebeen excited for nothing again, but it is still (for me) the easiest way to make a full automatic paintball gun.

Do we need an fitting with a pin to open co2 bottles?

it isn't all that simple to make.. it seems you can't just a assemble it in 20 minutes from the parts

There is a air compressor at my hardware store and the guy who operates it is my 40 years older then me "friend" kinda.

I will use a co2 bottle, do you think they will let me play with it?i mean in paintball fields.
