Hello guys!!

I'm here to present to all of you, my newest build, a (relatively) high-pressure,barrel-sealing, piston pneumatic rifle ! Now, this is my first homemade piston rifle and i'm still running into problems, to name some there're piston lube probs, exhaust ones, as my current exhaust is a 180 psi rated blowgun, wich i'm afraid to submit to more. So in future improvements, i might put some kind of spring-loaded ball-valve exhaust.
The chamber is 1" steel, the valve is a homemade 3/4" piston one. The piston is hot glue poured into a 20 mm copper pipe with grease on the inner-wall. I also put a neoprene disc on top of it with a screw that goes all-the-way to the bottom.

The gun is pressurized using a schrader valve with the inside removed, and secured with a 1/2" steel ball-valvle.
Some speed indications (not exactly accurate but give you an idea) All of these are tested at 14 bars (200 psi)
-6mm
Airsoft BB 0.25 gram : 294 m/s
Glass BB 0.16 gram : 322 m/s
Steel BB 0.88 gram : 254 m/s
Steel bolt 0.55 gram: 270m/s

Little Specs:

Chamber : 1" steel
Valve : 3/4" piston; homemade.
Barrels : 1m x 6.02 mm ; 1m x 15mm ; 40cm x 1cm ;

And i also made a video, be sure to watch it in HQ . There will be more to come when i pass my exams! until then, have fun and be safe ;)

Wow man thats really nice, looks like it has quite a kick too!

Love the shot of the projectile going toward the tree!

Keep up the good work!

Im sure Ive asked this before, but what do you use as a high-speed camera?

I like it. Simple. Any chance on a view of the internal parts of the piston valve? I'm interested in how you did it.

Most probobly a 1" brass T, 1" to 3/4" bushing, 3/4" hose nipple, 3/4" pipe nipple and then adapters to the blowgun.

Well thats how my new one is anyway.

Lol, it's not that it has some kick, but you actually feel it going back a bit.
The valve is a 3/4" tee, it's all in the description. i used 3/4" => 1/2" bushings and a 1/2" hose barb, with superglue in the thread so that it doesn't move and is airtight.
My camera is a casio EX-F1 ;)

howd you get the hose barb to mount in backwards though? Or am i missing something.

The threads do not stop flat ;) You can reverse it and put it backwards. I just shot a pellet at 200 psi...my god how fast it went!! It's just amazing XD

really cool, i like it, im guessing its a little to powerful for airsoft matches lol, at 0:43 what was your target, did you just shoot through a tree with an airsoft bb? and where do you get the glass bbs?

At 0:43, the projectile is a 1gram fruit, you could flatten it between your fingers; the target is a shipping cardboard tube. the walls are 4 millimeters. I was actually surprised it did it through lol ^^
yeah, above 2 joules, AEG's tend to hurt a lot, i'm developping more than 15 joules with it at 200 psi.

nice gun man
but you shouldn't edit it with any sound track WE MUST HEAR THE BANG CLEARLY
i loved the shoot at the tree SLOWMO paint ball :D :D :D :D
when you test it with higher pressures like 600 psi. the blow gun can hold this pressure don't wary

and i want to buy like you camera EX-F1 can you film a 1 min video (full HD non encoded ) and upload it rapidshare and send me the link. i wanna see the quality

Loool thanks guys! i'm gonna push it to 300 psi, with a couple cushions on the blow gun....
I will do a 1min 720p footage, and send it to you, but i warn you, it's really big files...the quality is great, but the fact you don't have a wide angle is kinda f***ed up in HD...

I'm worried about the blowgun though...it's light for a blowgun and the metal doesn't seem very sturdy...well, if it won't hold the 300 psi, i'll switch back to the 380 psi rated steel ball valve :D

Edit, just shot it dry at 300 psi with the blowgun. It's kinda hard to push the trigger but it does it! way to go supersonic again!!! hahaha
