heres a thort y dont u go to ur local plumbing supplies and ask to have a look at cistern((the white thing hanging on the wall in front of ur toilet)) outlet valve rubbers,even hardware shops supplie them,they vary from 1 1 1/2'' and up...

I used a rubber tile on mine, you can also buy sheets of neoprene rubber at some hardware stores, toilet plungers also can work.

Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a little. A couple of you even attempted proper punctuation. I rarely feel the need to step in and be a dick, but the line must be drawn somewhere. It is a fact that many members here don't appreciate bad(extremely bad) posting etiquette, myself included. Bad "netiquette" is distracting and the reader will usually not take the thread seriously.

I hope the few of you will improve in the future(I won't name names). I typed just like you guys when I first joined SF but learned quickly that if I was to earn respect around here and be taken seriously I should type... Well, like I do now. With capital letters, punctuation, and sentence clarity. You know, all that good stuff.

ON TOPIC: More than likely there is a Home Depot or Lowes in your area. They usually have rubber sheets or tiles that should be up to par.

TaTer, I do not have a complaint (even though it is poor) with their posts because I read them on the first go. Sure it's not nice on the eyes but it's better than maggotman's posts- you would reach each post several times, and still not understand what he meant. (get over it)

Just go to a hardware or plastic/rubber supply. Here in Australia Clark Rubber sells sheets and strips of neoprene rubber which are ideal.

Ouch. The spelling in this thread is painful. From the topic title, I thought this was going to be a misplaced topic on image manipulation. (Look up "Shooping" with the double O rather than double P.)

The insistent use of u and ur is just plain annoying. If you can't be bothered to type the full words and press the shift key for the start of sentences and proper nouns - why should you expect people to be bothered to give you an answer?

I'm saying that there's absolutely no point in using the ur abbreviation. There's no letter limit on this forum, at least not one that they're even within a fraction of reaching. Even I've never reached any kind of limit, and I've written posts into multiple thousands of words.

If people can't be bothered to spend that minuscule time and effort on their question, why should I spend a greater amount of time and effort on composing an answer?
When you're asking a question on this forum, you're asking a favour of the other members. It's common courtesy to not demand they have to decipher what you're asking first.

And like I've said dozens of times, it does you no favours as far as people's impressions of your intelligence. Honestly, do you think I'd be taken half as seriously on the forums if my posts were of that dubious quality?

Wouldn't be polite to hijack cannonmonkey's thread. And i agree totally with inonickname and there isn't a problem with their typing, at least to most/few of us.

Im using layers of inner tubing BUT, it really isn't that effective. It will warp and misfire the spud. If you look in the plumbing section you might be able to find this water heater rubber thing with a hole in the middle that is pretty thick and sturdy which will be able to last quite long.
I couldn't really catch the name, but it has something got to do with a water heater pipe (placed somewhere inside i think).
