Ok, some of you may remember my first pnematic gun.

I really liked that gun but it had many problems. So I thought I would redesign it applying what ive learned on spudfiles and the use of a machine shop.
My original idea was to have a gun that supplied its own air, ( as much pressure as possible) and could shoot blow gun darts.
What I have now is way better than the first gun, (thanks to you guys).
So heres what I got:
36" barrel .402" ID
2 chambers .5" x 5" (with the fittings I estimate total chamber size at .5" x 14".)
QEV valve
breech loading
fires 36 cal. ball with wading
For the pump I used the piston and head from a 12 volt air pump. The head had 2 one way valves on it. The 12 volt pump had a 1 inch throw on it so I bought a long seamless tube (steel) and now the 3/4" piston has a 6" throw. The handle gives me a leverage advantage so pumping up to 300 lbs. is a breeze. About 35 to 40 pumps. The steel made the gun heavy so I started drilling holes in everything.
The only part that isnt metal is the tube going from the pump to the chamber. I wanted to use copper but the pump head would only take rubber hose. The best I could find was on mcmaster carr rated at 300 lbs. It was reinforced clear so I colored it with a magic marker. Turned out pretty good.
Enough talk, heres the gun.

All shots were made at 100 feet with 250 to 300 lbs of pressure.

Wow. I must first say that you've done an amazing job and you should be very proud, especially since it's your second gun.
I admire how you've managed to keep the valve assembly, pilot/fill setup, and chamber components so compact. I also like the how the brass and aluminum compliment each other so well, looks awesome.
The damage is very cool. I've never seen .40 caliber darts mangle like that. I couldn't imagine doing that with the blowgun I've got. I'm very impressed to say the least from the power of the gun because the chamber volume seems so small, but then again your taking it to 300psi.
If its possible, could you post pictures of the inner workings of the pump and valve assembly? Thanks in advance and also thank you for posting this incredible gun.

Very dramatic evolution from your first effort, nicely done I particularly like the integral pump, neat engineering, kudos!
Really nice work! Nothing like a long lever to get some real work done. The gun has a definite cool factor. My tendency would have been to build in a little more chamber space although I'm sure this is adequate to get the job done...would just require that much more pumping.

wow that's great...
I really like the fact that you used such a small chamber
however, there are several things that could be improved like the hose between the pump and the chamber (which obviously makes it more difficult to reach high pressures) but I understand that it would be difficult to improve that now
