Really goes through batteries, er... I mean batteries really go through things.
  • 1/2" Cu coupler
    1/2" Cu pipe
    1/2" brass sweat to npt
    1/2" to 1" Fe reducer
    1" Solenoid valve
    1" Fe close nipple
1" PVC Female npt to glue elbow
1" PVC thick wall pipe, rated 480 psi
    (2) 1" PVC 45 degree couplers
1" PVC Tee to 3/4" female ntp
    3/4" to 1/2" Fe reducer
    100 psi guage
    1" PVC cap
    Shrader valve
    Zip ties, large and small
    (2) Plastic Clothes pins
    (2) micro switches cut from old computer mice
    (3) 9v clips and batteries
1/8" plywood, cut with a utility knife
wood block to separate barrel and tank
pvc solvent, pvc cement, pipe dope, teflon tape, wood glue, plumbing
flux and solder, and hot melt glue,
wire from a cat5 network cable
    heat shrink tubing
    1500 ohm resistor
led assembly from old computer case
hard drive magnet, 1" Fe washer to hold batteries
LED lights when safety depressed, enables trigger.
Driving forces were ergonomics, simplicity, and safety.
Thanks for looking. :D

I think that's a realy good one.The chamber could be smaler so you will be able to recharge with a hend held tank.

MAybe mod the sprinkler valve to pneumatic they work alot better and it doesnt require any battaries, and furthest shot lenght is?

Nice, Dual cannons, maybe it will be the new trend.
Now all that is needed is a way to fill both cannons at the same time with the same source.

Hi, I gave one to a friend for his 40th bday. A modded valve would
probably help, as the solenoid approach seems to require a sizeable
volume between the exit port of the valve and the ammo.
Using Alpha-Alpha depleted alkaline mutions leaves little room to
vent the valve.

The valve flutters. :x

Using a blowgun mod would allow the vent to open w/o any need to
vent the top of the valve into the barrel.

Any idea how a 1/4" or 1/2" QEV compares to a 1" sprinkler, both using
blowgun triggers?

Thanks for the compliments, this is a really nice site!

i think a 1/2 qev will compare to a 1 inch modded valve, anyway nice trigger.

QEV are leaps and bounds ahead in performance compared to a modded sprinkler valve,i remember in a post i think BLB said that a 1"spinkler only vents to a proportion of 4/16of an inch barrel properly which is kinda lame...Go for the QEV and it will own!

I looked at this post a few times and just now noticed the cloths pin trigger set up. Good thinking! Very clever, i like it. The entire cannon is nicely done, good job.

Question-Is QEV a brand or style of sprinkler valve?

I don't think there is any problem with the flow. They launch tannis balls with these valves.

jrrdw, no QEVs are an entirely different valve, Quick Exhuast Valves, they far out perform spinkler valves, but they still dont compare to homemade valves
