				Feasible as BHV

I was wondering if this design would be feasible as a BHV (Balanced Hammer Valve). All thoughts, questions, and suggestions are openly welcomed. I addressed this in a previous post but I would like to consider myself slightly more knowledgeable at this time.

This was my first attempt at a diagram on paint so take it easy.

This is basically the design used in most blowguns I believe.

So then this valve is balanced. Huh seems like more people would scale this up and use it. So am I right in assuming it the configuration I presented I would only be fighting the force of the spring to open the valve being balanced. Then the same spring force closes the valve when whatever being used to open it is no longer applying force to the valve stem. Has anyone used this as a main valve for a airsoft gun. Seems like it could be ideal for low or high pressure of course factoring in working pressure of the materials used for construction and the such.
Lemme know this may be my first endeavor at doing more than lurking and the occasional post.

Yes Jack I know, I just had to say it though

Such a valve would have terrible performace, probably even with airsoft calliber, unless the pressure is insane. BTW anything over 200 psi is insane to me 8)

Antonio tried it and had poor performance

... but with a short barrel and low pressure as he was using, this was to be expected. Most commercial pneumatics with hammer valves operate at 200 bar, not 8 bar
edit: 12,000th post

Nut most members don't have access to 200 bar, I don't even have access to 200 psi until I order my shocky

There are other avenues to add power - modding the blowgun for higher flow, using a stronger hammer etc.
