Smoothbore Barrel?

Hello, I have recently completed my 3/4 inch high pressure cannon, but I need a nice barrel for it. Seamless steel and aluminum is too expensive. Copper would be nice, but my question is: can I use a 3/4th inch copper barrel and somehow adapt it to 3/4th inch male pipe threads without soldering? I have no clue how to solder, and I have no tools for it.
Thanks

Soldering is fairly easy to learn, and only requires a propane torch. It should only cost you about $10 to get started.

compression fittings.
EDIT:

Ye, I figured that compression fittings would be the recommendation. I am using them on my fridge compressor, but that is for small diameter copper tubing. I didn't know they exist for larger (3/4") pipe. Also, are they strong enough to withstand several hundred PSI?
Thanks

Yes, you can get them in 3/4" and I believe members have taken them to around 300PSI. Wont matter so much on a barrel.

Thankyou, that will be all...

Compression fittings that size do exist, although they're not available at any hardware store I've been to. Sweating is cheap and useful, and the fittings are much more readily available. Unless you're building a steam gun or similar, I recommend spending the ~$25 and using regular fittings.

I belive home depot carries 3/4" compresion fittings. I will check and report back.
Edit: checked Home Depot's website, no 3/4" compression fittings, however i think i saw some there today.
If you dont want to solder try these,

sharkbite push to connect fittings

The problem with sharkbite fittings is that although they seal air, they do not firmly secure the pipe. Using this type of fitting for your barrel will make it wobble around like crazy.

Using flexible tubing for your barrel is, to put it bluntly, a terribly stupid idea in all regards. Why would you even consider doing that?

Well, I decided to just get the soldering equipment. I watched several videos on the subject, and it doesn't look too bad.

Has anyone ever actually used a sharkbite fitting for a spudding application?

Why has no one mentioned the epoxy option
Good enough for a
