1/2 qev rifle with stock!

this gun was built for accuracy before power but i am very satisfied with it so far. one major mistake i made was that i built the stock before the gun so there were some problems with that. the stock is made from a 2X10 of douglas fir. the stock was first based off of a single shot .22 i owned, i then decided it needed a pistol grip so i traced an l96 pistol grip and thumbhole. i later decided that it looked kind of whimpy and also the airtank would stick out the bottom so i added a much more beefy looking front grip and secured it with t-nuts. i attached it very well and it looks like one piece of wood. the stock was hollowed out by drilling large holes and then smoothing them out with a smaller drill bit. all of the cutting was done with a skill-saw. after carving out the stock i used wood chisels to make the thumbhole more comfortable. i then used a router to smooth the edges and used a belt sander to smooth the sides more too. it was then stained with an antique walnut finish and then a coat of poly.

the barrel is 1/2 inch copper which is working very well for me. i was originally going to make a .22 barrel for it with a nylon bolt but i dont think i will do that. with the 1/2 inch barrel it is still extremely accurate with no sights at 25m. i purchased a shock pump and have shot it at 250psi and it is very very strong and accurate. the trigger mechanism is probably its worst part for the pilot volume is too big but it is filled with a shreader soldered into place and is piloted by a blowgun

main ammo: wooden dowels with screws at tip. marbles. steel balls. steel or aluminim bullets

Only negative comment is that those projectiles you call bullets are probably tumbling like crazy, being that they're nearly symmetrical front/back.

Very nice gun. Congrats! I wish I had a workshop and tools like yours to work with. As opposed to the other posts, I like the beefy stock, especially since you could loop the air tank into the new hand grip to give it more air volume if you wanted to.

Are you planning on putting sites on it or will it be a point-shoot kind of gun?

Nicely put together, just needs an integral suppressor to cover up that skinny barrel

i was planning to but it looked far too ugly. with no sights i can hit a 3X3 target at 25m so i think im good

You may have to do a bit of machining and add longer screws to get these to work (it says that they fit barrels from .540" to .560"), but IMO it would be worth it.

You may have to use spacers for this to work, but it would be worth it if you could attach a scope of some sort. There are a bunch of intermounts out there, one of which is sure to fit well.

Easier to buy mounts made to put flashlights or lasers on scopes like these, they should clamp on to the barrel nicely.

The info leak that catches many by surprise is the EXIF geotaging data in photos pasted on Facebook, etc. Many Cell Phones include GPS data in the photo data. A correlation between My truck for sale and we are going to the Superbowl game has resulted in several home burglaries when they knew the location and when you won't be home. For this reason, I don't post cell phone photos. A Non GPS camera is used.

I really like this, the stock looks great and I like the thumb hole.

It'd be good to see a damage video or something, personally I would have put some kind of sight on it but that's just my opinion, it's your gun so do things the way you want to. 8)

In regards to the image metadata, there are a few programs you can use to strip that information from them, I believe there's even an addon for Firefox that will do it.

It's generally not that big of a deal that people know what camera you use or average geotagging, I've found that it's always better to err on the side of anonymity on the internet but I'm the security freak type.
