I was just wondering what would be the best and simplest way to reduce a 2" chamber to a 1" thread to screw into my 1" sprinkler valve? I made a chamber and used bell reducers, not realizing that they are not pressure rated and potentially dangerous. Can anyone help me out and inform me what fittings are pressure rated that i cal use to achieve this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :D

What is your chamber made of? PVC can be formed into a socket on the end to accept a 2 inch to 1 inch reducer. A 1 inch nipple and 1 inch threaded male adaptor would complete it.

The standard way is to use a 2 inch coupling on the end of the chamber and place a pressure rated reducer to one inch, then the 1 inch nipple and male adaptor. Making sockets eliminates the need for the coupling.

Edit; Changed to a better photo showing how a reducer bushing can be fitted into the end of a 2 inch chamber. Here a 1.5 inch female adapter is added as a piston cylinder for a coaxial piston valve.

2" coupling -> 2" spig x 1" FPT

If serviceability is needed:
2" female adapter -> 2" MPT x 1" FPT

If you can't get said bushing:
2" female adapter -> 2" male adapter -> 2" spig x 1" FPT
