Im sorry i cant seem to find how to make a piston for a coaxial piston valve cannon anywhere. I want to build a piston that is air tight on copper pipes and for a 3/4" sized chamber. Can anyone tell me how to make one and keeping in mind i am restricted of resources. Any help is appreciated.

You can get a section of pipe, put some grease inside of it, and either fill it with hot glue, or epoxy, wait for it to dry/cure, then push it out of the section of pipe, and then glue/epoxy a piece of neoprene rubber to the front of the newly formed piston.

I heard of pistons made from threaded rods or bolts do you know anything of that?

lHere you go Engineererrr! This is my old thread a made a while back for one of my old piston valves. Second page, first post. Shows you what a bolt and washer piston looks like. (You don't need that white PVC looking part on it)

EDIT: LOL forgot the link silly me

How restricted on resources are you? Do you have access to a drill press?

This is in the stickies.

For my firs co-ax I got a machinist that lives near me to machine a solid nylon piston and then I glued some random rubber on that I found in the shed :)

all this is help full but again limited thanks everyone.
I dont even know what a drill press is.
The bolt and washer: what are the parts to it? where can i get rubber discs? Are there already perfect sizes of washers for my purpose?
I could try epoxy...

my idea from this info: Take a length of pipe (my chamber diameter) somehow get a rubber disc and the fill pipe with hot glue then epoxy on the rubber. Good or bad?

For my purpose whats the better piston concept? Bolts and washers or epoxy/hot glue

sigh...im quite inexperienced but ima fast learner
