Im new to this form but I looked around and have not seen any one using electronic solenoid valves. Ive made a copper ball valve gun but i have been planing my next one with a solenoid valve like an asco. I have used these in car with air suspension and know they are fast. I know how they work but just wondering if any one has any input with air cannons. thanks

Yeah there are a bunch of cannons using these valves from as small as 1/4" inch all the way up to 3". They open even faster if you remove the solenoid and add a larger pilot valve.

Some are direct acting and some are indirect, you can modify indirect valves which are normally the larger ones.

Do you want a normally closed valve.

From what I understand, direct acting means the solenoid itself opens and closes the valve. Directly.
Indirect means the solenoid pilots a valve like a piston or diaphragm that opens the valve.

Yes these valves are normally closed and the solenoid opens it has no pistin. Thanks for telling me the differance. Id would use a battery to open and close it 9v or 2 9vs.Thanks for making me understand indirect and direct. All I know is the faster the valve opens the faster the sh--t goes

9mm if your bug has air suspension than you are right. You can get rely fast and real simple valves for short money. If no one else has seen this valve look up car air ride suspension valves like asco. I think its close to the valves you guys use please let me know.
