This Is My Biggest Pnuematic Yet. The Original Concept Came from the P.A.C. 5. Although, if I had named my cannons this way this would be like P.A.C. 27 for me. I call it the Big Apple Cannon for a reason.

1. It's Big
2. I shoot mainly apples although on occasion i will shoot golf balls.
3. It is a cannon.

I used a design i have never seen before to make interchangeable barrels affordable. before if you wanted to change a barrel. you had to buy a 4" male adapter and the bushings to get to your barrel size. With my design you only have to buy a 2" male adapter to change barrels.

The Other thing that i built for this cannon is my filling station. it consists of a male and female quick disconnects a gauge and ball valve. This allows for precision filling to maximize consistency between shots.

I have yet to get any real specs on performance but it will shoot an apple out of sight at only 20 psi.

a few questions...
1) why are their two sprinkler valves? There is a picture of an unpainted black one, and a red one as well... where do both of these valves fit into the cannon?

2) could you explain what is going on in the fourth picture down and the fifth picture down?

i love that canon, nice paint job i like it, i like the bumper to. one question tho in the thrd pic there is a thing of vaseline, did you use it to lube your piston. i think i will try that.

Yay the vasolene is great it as cheap, easy to find, and works as well as silicone lube.
the bumpre is more like a stopper. it allows the piston 2 inches of movement and is much better than hose

Oh I thought you were using the inside of the tennis ball as your sealing face, I wonder if that would work.

i doubt it... the mats of fibers on the tennis ball have tiny gaps in them... when the tennis ball was pushed against the sealing face, the air would escape out of these little gaps

No it is only the bumper. The O-Ring grooved in the piston work great and were very eady to do. i first made lines around the piston. then i ued a hack saw to make a 1-2 mm grove over the line. then using a file a enlarged the grove ontol the o ring fit in it and the piston fit in the chamber. then i used vasolene to lube the chamber wall and piston I dont think the tennisball thing would work tbecause they burst at ~75 PSI.i stuck a schrader valve in a tennis ball and fillrd it and ai ripped at the seam at 75 psi.

I thought that it was the sealing face also. I felt really dumb when I realized it was the bumper.

i used a 3"x1.5" ABS bell reducer as a centering device. i slied it so it looks like a bycicle wheel
