My first cannon, the B.A.C.(Big Ass Cannon) . (this is my first cannon upload, sorry if its messy!) Feel free to comment.

So far its only been tested to 65 psi cause the bikepump wont go anymore, will take it to 110 after I get a compresser. More pics to come!

Nice but do not take it to 110 psi! You have 3 DWV parts that I can see: the wye handle, and 2 elbows. I've used DWV parts and they are safe, but not at 110 psi. stay with 65 man.

How well do the golfballs fit in 1'5 inch?

Thats a very nice cannon. Give it a paintjob it would look ausome and why dont you put the blowgun directly in the valve with a L adaptor so its more like a trigger if handheld.

DMV? Not sure what that is..weak joints? The golfballs just roll down the barrel without a shell but I put some wadding first for an airtight seal..but when the parents saw what they did they got pissed soo I can only use soft things now . As for the paint im gonna paint it something like desert camo when I get the money. its shoulder fired at the moment but I will most likey make a stand and use one of those L fittings.

DWV parts are not rated to handle pressure. They have thin walls and short solvent sockets. Just keep the pressure low and you'll be fine, I've used them before.

As for paint goes, Krylon Fusion works great on plastics like PVC but is not available in flat (non shiny) colors.

*EDIT* I was wrong, FUFION comes in gloss, satin, flat, and CAMOUFLAGE!!!

Good luck with the cannon though. Hmmm... pour some flour down the barrel and then load up your golfballs. Might look like a real gun!

If you want to go to 110 psi use pvc or steel much stronger but more expensive.

It IS pvc . And I do plan on building a steel cannon in a month or so for winter.

Nice gun Torch !! Cool that you're shooting 'shelled' golf-balls... I haven't tried that yet... Am just using the traditional vegetable that the gun is named after. I'll upload a short video clip on here if I can. How do I even add pics??

At first it was a good idea..But they tend to bounce more. Almost got my skull cracked open when one bounced off my target.. And to put up pics use a host like putfile.com, create a account and host it. They will give you image codes for things like forums, myspace, etc.

Thanks Torch for the tips on the downside of golf-balls... at least they'd be cheap. Are you guys actually shooting old D-cell batteries?

And I'll put my video on YouTube or something and just provide a link to it.

How do you take the shell off a golfball?

I have not tried D-cell's yet, since I don't buy them that often. And for the golfballs, I took a hacksaw and cut a ring around it while it was in vice-grips, and then took a big flathead screwdriver and forced the shell off. Takes me like 10 minutes

Understood. D-cell batteries are much heavier... haven't tried them myself either. Last time I tried to take apart a golf-ball I was a lot younger... seem to remember a hell of a lot of rubber-bands all rolled up like a ball. I believe you want a projectile that doesn't offer any resistance as it comes blasting out of the barrel, yet fits fairly snuggly. A potato is perfect of course because of the moisture around the plug once it's 'cored' after being ram-rodded into the thing muzzle-load style.
