Copper marble rifle
Here is my new copper rifle. It is a coaxial style gun with a 1/2" barrell in a 1" chamber. it uses a 1/2" ball valve as a fill valve and also a pilot valve for the piston. The piston is made out of a solid piece of epoxy putty with a rubber gasket on one end. it is VERY effective from what I've seen. I've only taken it to 80 psi so far. I'm waiting to get comfortable with it before i really push it. My solder job isn't the greatest looking but I'm confident it is plenty strong enough. I used the solder the same way you would use pvc cement. I put it on the pipe and then slid the fitting over it while it was liquid. Then i soldered it the "normal" way around the outside.

No, you're supposed to. I was just seeing because the way you described soldering was kind of funny. Not to sound like a jerk, but of course i did. Was I not supoosed to for some reason i dont know of???
Without flux it's almost impossible to get solder to stick, so that's pretty much a given.
In the future it would be a good idea to do the soldering the proper way, it will be prettier and is easier to do.
That said, nice gun. I run my copper guns at 300 psi routinely, so it has a lot of potential. What ammo do you use?
