Air Tubing

For many modded sprinklers, piston valve pilots, etc. They all use 1/4" tubing and barbed fittings. The only tubing they sell at Home Depot and Lowes is vinyl like. I was wondering what the best specifications of tubing are so that I can order correct tubing, and a shorter amount. Thanks

Get hose from the air compressor department. A 50 ft roll will last a long time.

A 50 foot roll is also kind of a lot, and more money than you need to spend when you only need a foot or so. The vinyl will burst though, so don't use that.

That's why I was gonna order from mcmaster, I don't really want to spend 50$.

I don't see many spudders use steel breaded line from high preformance auto parts stores, you can buy it buy the foot. I don't know what the bursting pressure is, but Russell makes the best. I'll look that up and edit this post.

Best buy for the buck. 1,000 psi bursting pressure. That should hold!

Now, I just use that 1/4" OD ice-maker hosing with 1/4" compression adapters. You could try that.

How much pressure is that rated to? Although I found the isle at Lowes that had exactly what I needed.

Just use Vinyl tubing with reinfrorced braid it is rated to 160psi which will be fine.
