This is my latest creation and first attempt at a piston gun.It works great the piston is turned out of aluminum and has an o-ring.it has a marble barrel and i also have a 3/8 aluminum barrel that fires 3/8 ball bearings.The tank is aluminum as well.Only have had it up to 175psi but im sure she will take more the tank is made out of schedule 80 pipe.

can you take a picture of the piston? that thing looks sweet. Can you take some videos of it?

Just weighed it its 68 oz that is 4 and a 1/4 pounds.I will try and get a vid and pic of the piston got it a hurry to put it together and for got .

Oh my man, that looks freaking awesome. Was it hard to make that piston? I have tried about 5 times now making a piston and never suceeded. Where do you peoples get your neoprene rubber at?
Once again great looking gun. Get some videos of it. :wink:

The piston was my second try I didnt use neoprene i used a lathe ans cut an o-ring groove on the front of the piston then jb welded an o-ring in it.I updated pics with piston

well made, makes me with i had access to proper machining facilities :? I could complain about the excess dead space but that's a minor niggle, congratulations :)

I don't really see any dead space...

Maybe between the blowgun and the qev but since qevs take just a tiny pressure change it shouldn't be a problem. Plus the blowgun looks cooler where it is so the negligible amount of dead space is worth it.

Mea culpa, I meant "pilot volume", not "dead space" - but the bumper seems to fill most of it so great job :)

I expect some pretty knarly guns out of you with the talent that you have exemplified in your FIRST Piston!!
You should make a CO2 adapter, mabee 12oz cartridges?
Also a hopper would be crazy!!! :D
