i found out that the blow gun wasn't sealed very good and air was leaking around it
. should I put epoxy around the blowgun
and what should I lube the valve with? should I use wd40 or soap?

Epoxy the leak, or just screw the blowgun in tighter with more teflon tape (you did use teflon, right?)
Lubing the valve really isn't necessary. My valve has worked fine without it for two years now. However, you may still want to open up the valve from time to time to check for debris that may be clogging it.
Good luck!
P.S. If that solenoid is bugging you, you can take it off and epoxy its hole.

dont use wd40 or soap for lube 4d40 will melt the valve eventually. Vaseline should work good

@pat123,
Where's your fill valve? Is it on the chamber-side or pilot-side of the sprinkler?
Check for more leaks with soapy water and etc.. til you're pretty sure you have them all sealed up. Let us know how it goes.
@Kenny_McCormic,
FYI, Vaseline is petroleum-based, too. Lithium grease, Teflon-based lubricant (try bicycle stores), etc... is the best choice for lubricating rubber seals.
Peace,
Pete Zaria.

i put epoxy around the blowgun but it is still leaking around it. i put another layer of sealant on there and i am waiting for it to dry. i'll post more pics when I fix it.

Pull as big a vacuum in the gun as you can. Then put the epoxy on. The vacuum will draw it into the holes....
If your gonna be sucking, make sure you don't do taking in the fumes...

i tried eveything I could think of to seal the blow gun. I finally got the adapter sealed and now it leaks where the adapter screws into the blowgun.
