Thanks for all the positive feedback guys. Do you think I have the potential in this unit to start selling them?

Do you think you could post the circuit diagram, or what the circuit is from since you didn't make it? That would be great, thanks. 8)

does this actually fire without the steel wool?

seeing you didn't build the actual circuit yourself
cannoncreator wrote:I didnt build the circuit, I just soldered the switch wires, led wires, battery wires, and capacitor charge out wires onto the board, applyed plenty of hot glue on each solder, and connected componets which were already mounted on the face of the project box. O ya and I hot glue the battery pack the the bottom of the inside of the project box.
why would anyone buy this if they could just solder everything themselves?

over the last month i've read many of your posts and i wouldn't be comfortable buying anything you've made.
let's say you sold these and something bad happened to a buyer. all of posts pertaining to this is here on spudfiles. a lot of these are not confidence building posts.
let the guys who know how to build these circuits from scratch sell them.
sorry dude

Well some people don't have soldering irons, others aren't good at soldering, some don't know what they're doing and others are too lazy, there's no reason why someone wouldn't buy one of these.

His posts have nothing to do with it, I see where you are coming from but this looks top notch.

Ya it fires with steel wool, of coarse. Mr. 15 posts you abviously dont know anything much about this, so dont act like im the noob here, and until you have a little more then 15 posts dont tell anyone that there stuff sucks, cause you will most likely be wrong!

O and Welcome to Spudfiles!

And to knappengineering, I will make a diagram of the circuit. You mean all the componets in the flash circuits? Or were I added all the switchs, and Leds, etc?

All the components would be best, and the switches and LEDs would also be appreciated. Thanks :D

Does this circuit use the ionising capacitor to help or does it just short the large capacitor through the steel wool?

Well, the outside is beautiful, but the true virtue of electronics is on the inside.

Ergo, if you plan on selling them, you may want to make sure everything is securely bolted down and organized. You may also be able to work a chamber fan control circuit into that box too.

I don't see why you couldn't sell em though, although if you buy all the stuff at Radio Shack you're seriously gimping your profit margin (If they overcharge there like they do here). Best to find a real electronics store.

Oh, and make sure your flash circuit can stand up to repeated use. Remember that they were originally meant to be disposable.

Neat!! Creator, are you going to post the how-to of this contraption? This is the final point of research I'm working on before I make my next cannon. It seems you've got exactly what I'm looking for!

The "how-to" is located in the spud wiki. It's just a modified camera flash circuit.
