Hey all... my first cannon. first post too. I built this about 2 years ago after remembering a cannon that my friends dad had. It was around ten years ago, but I remembered the basics of how it was put together so I decided to build one. It has a 2 foot by 4 inch chamber and 4 foot by 2 inch barrel. I use a lantern flint thing I got at a local hiking store for ignition (works great, twist and fire). for fuel I found this stuff my mom uses called "nail polish dryer" by beauty secrets. I know its sold at a sally beauty supply store here ($2.90 a can). The stuff works great, better than any deodorant or hairspray I have come across (its top 3 ingredients are butane, propane, and SD alcohol 40-B)...

I recently found this site. After reading over it for a good few weeks, I decided to put a computer fan in my chamber (complete with ugly exposed wires and a 50 cent generic light switch, but i am broke and I find sexiness in good results from ghetto solutions). I must admit, I am glad I put that fan in, it cost me about 5 bucks to implement. Now it shoots more consistently and noticeably more powerful. Last time I took it out I put a potato through a 5/8th piece of plywood no problem and some ammo I made out of washers did a lot more damage than that. I love it! (next time I go out I will get some pics and maybe video).

I wanna thank you all for creating this site and exposing me to other freaks that thinks its awesome to create a cannon out of parts found at the local home depot. After I get my nice tax refund, I will build myself a pneumatic marble shooter, I cant freaking wait. sorry for the wordy post, thanks for looking

i think it's because he posted this earlier in the disscusion section then deleted it and moved it here, but he said that at first it said he deleted it but it was still there, then i posted on that one and deleted that one too, but it said post deleted successfully, then said no such topic exists, so i think it's whatever PCGUY was sayin about the server being wierd right now

Please we don't like being called freaks,we have medical term for it-Spud Induced Psychosis!And you seem to be showing signs of it :wink: .

Nice first gun,I was amazed at the power increase of a PC fan aswell.
