...Demetrios...Or just mapp powered cannon.
Great cannon, great paint work, nice and clean, I love it! I especially like the power that fan puts out. Keep up the good work man. I'm currently working on a really sick combustion that I will reveal in a couple weeks for everyone.
Yea i know how you feel octane. Here in Cleveland (Ohio) We are getting the same snowfall. Its a blizzard out there. But i dont have ne plans until the spring so im not delayed. the only thing that may be delayed would be my sprinkler valve, if the distributor agrees to the price.
Your cannon is great though. I hope to make an advanced combustion soon for myself.

Wow thats really nice octane god job.
Thats pretty clever how you covered the ignition wires up by using 1/2" pvc, took me a little while to figure out what it was, It blended so well.

Its actually just irrigation pipe from Rain Bird, it was .50 cents.
I have new pictures with the valve and painted barrel-can't upload though cause photobucket is not letting me for some reason.

Doesn't surprise me. Usually rechargeable batteries have lower internal resistance, which more than compensates for the slightly lower voltage, so you'll get more power from the fan.
Excellent cannon. One question - why is the igniter backwards?

Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?
I actually like it that way. I shoot from the hip so I dont mind it at all. Plus a new ignition source is in line so it won't be there for too long.

I was under the impression that MAPP Gas has acetlyene in it. Doesn't aetlyene react with copper or is that only true with pure gas? Anyway, nice gun. This is the style I'm considering for my next. Is this a breech load? How are the barrel and cylinder holder secured to each other?
The barrel is connected using a male adapter that connects to the female end on the cannon. The cylinder is held using a large pipe/hose clamp.

No, it has methylacetylene-propadiene in it.ralphd wrote:I was under the impression that MAPP Gas has acetlyene in it. Doesn't aetlyene react with copper or is that only true with pure gas? In order: No, MAPP doesn't contain acetylene, but you are right, acetylene doesn't go well with copper, or alloys above about 65% copper.ralphd wrote:I was under the impression that MAPP Gas has acetlyene in it. Doesn't aetlyene react with copper or is that only true with pure gas?

Not to rain on the parade, its a great looking gun, but arent those 90-degree elbows DWV? And the cleanout... I have a feeling that DWV + MAPP gas = bad.
(memory is telling that MAP gas is more flamable than propane)

Yes your a right that MAPP gas is more flammable but some people use dww fittings, some dont, it just depends of what you think is safe, dwv has worked under the same conditions that pressure rated parts have in a combustion and both have withstood the pressure. I for one have used dwv on a advanced propane combustion cannon and it has worked fine for me.Panzerfaust wrote:Not to rain on the parade, its a great looking gun, but arent those 90-degree elbows DWV? Also octane is not active in this forum, he has dedicated his time back to paintballing, IIRC.
