There's another way. You certainly have two battery chargers, the ones that charge 9.6v batteries using the wall plug.They use a AC/DC transformer that changes the high current high voltage into 10 volts 600 mAh. You simply disassemble two of these, remove the little redressing circuit, cut the four wires, (the high voltage ones are well insulated), you make a small circuit including your 9v battery, running through both transformers wired in series (9volt => 1t trans. => 2nd trans. <spark> 2nd trans. <= 1st trans. <= 9volt)
You must add a push-button switch to open the circuit, the spark happens when there's a high differential of potentials, at the opening or closing of the circuit.
You can also add a one-way iode to prevent surcharging the circuit.
