Although it makes the cannon look nice and clean, it also creates a prime opportunity for accidental firings since it is somewhat natural to set a gun down on the back end. Especially for someone who decides to troubleshoot the gun by looking down the barrel.
I am fully aware of that.
Thank you for the heads up though.
next time I wont have the igniter at the end cap, perhaps on the side.
I appreciate it

Nice job. I like the way you used spigot fittings in the SCH-80. Mr. Plow used to do that with some of his cannons...

How bout a safety?
Epoxy a 3/4" coupler over the top of it so you have to insert a finger to depress and it would protect against accidental discharge.
You might need to bevel out a area for it to seat for better bonding or bolt a plug at the end and the igniter thru that then glue the coupler over the plug - would end up perfect on size - the tip of the igniter would be just below the opening.

Yeah and if the ignitor blows out of the cap it could break her finger! I have seen caps and ignitors blow from cannons...

The cap has been completely filled with epoxy, in turn making it stronger than a normal cap.

damage pics of the cannon using the nail polish bottles as ammo would be exceptionally cool
also if safety with the piezo in the endcap is a big concern it might be possible to obtain an oversized toggle switch shield like they have on detonators and on aircraft instrument panels

What I have attained from this thread is,that there is indeed another female on the forum which is good because we need both sexes to support our fun and JSR has a Foot Fetish!
