for some reason, my abs lid is very tight to seal onto the gun

i need to use a wrench each time just to open and close it

it gets very annoying and i was just wondering if you got any other ideas on opening and closing this sucker

i tried wd 40 but it doesnt work and found out its flammable so i shouldnt use it

i am about to try jigaloo soon and yeah... but if you guys got any other ideas that would be great

thanks

Most PIPE threads are tapered so the further you screw them in the tighter they become. This is normal and how they seal when screwed down tight. A little lithium or other plastics compatible grease, possibly moly grease may make the job easier. Most people simply hand tighten them for combustion cannons. DWV ABS is not recommended for air cannons.

This happens to me often and the solution is some white grease on the threads....Maybe but a wrap of teflon tape and THEN put the grease this might help... If I remember correctly there was a guide in Burnt Lake to make the lid screw and unscrew easier go check it out (I would post the link but don't know how to).

N'way if none of those ideas work maybe get a wrench and wrench it on :?

Hope this helps

I knew someone who blew up his .223 Daewoo assualt rifle, by cleaning the gas assist piston with WD-40.
He said when he fired it the gas tube blew apart!

Hm if your only using spray and spray I think it should be fine because of when ABS "explodes" it only makes cracks so you would be safe I guess ... But make sure next time you build a combustion try to get Pressure Rated Pipe and Fittings :?

I can think of somewhere better for someone to "stick and shove it and epoxy it"

You have no idea who you are messing with, and to remind you once again...

Good job crapping on this thread guys... maybe next time some mature sense will kick in so the censors don't have to kick in so much.
