I wonder what that volume of "HHO" gas would do pushing a projectile.

I can produce a liter in about 30 seconds.

It might be a fair idea to not use the term HHO, and just say hydrogen and oxygen. HHO will undoubtedly generate another auto scam debate.

As for pushing a projectile, it's very subjective.

By the way, if you want to do this add water (or foam, like pro water rocketeers). The much greater reaction mass (every reaction has an equal and opposite reaction) will cause a huge increase in thrust, even if it comes with a minutely slower take-off from the launch tube.

Good find.

He calculated about 175 psi.

Adding a little oil would probably cause Dieseling.

It needs to be tested.

I know a fellow who regularly compresses Hydroxy to 100 psi.

Exploding 100 psi of Hydroxy would probably produce hundreds of psi.

A test:

A vertical barrel open on both ends.

Insert Hydroxy gas at the bottom to flush out all the air.

Seal the bottom.

Muzzle load a tight projectile, ram it to a certain position and it will compress the gas below.

Fire!
