Hey all,
new to the forum but hell keen to make a spud gun.
Hoping someone could point out some instructions to make a combustion spudgun that isn't too hard or expensive, also I would rather something that doesn't require you to unscrew the cap, spray deodorant into chamber after each shot. Where should I look?

Cheers

welcome to spudfiles, take a look through the forum and do a bit more research because all the things you want contradict each other, take a look in the spudwiki that should provide you with sufficient information for you to know what your talking about a bit more and make it easier for people to help you
why make it if it dosent shoot?

Well, you won't find instructions here. However if you can't somewhat recreate a build from picturess and diagrams, people might start questioning your interest in this hobby.

... not to mention your ability to responsibly handle a device that could very easily cause injury or death if used negligently or inappropriately...

We've made ourselves a potato gun but we can't seem to get it to fire. we have the barbecue lighter as our ignition source, its placed in the screw cap in the back. We are also using carb cleaner as our combustible. Can someone please give us some advice. we wanna fire this baby off.

When we spark the lighter with carb cleaner in the chamber it fires, but only when we have no ammo down the shaft. When theirs actually something in the tube nothing happens. [/img]

Try spraying less cleaner, it sounds like your mix is too rich - or simply use a syringe to meter the correct amount of propane for a guaranteed more powerful shot ;)

... and when it doesn't fire you have too much fuel so you need to thoroughly air it out before trying to refuel (too much fuel + more fuel = still too much fuel)
