Anybody reckon they know the most expensive spray and pray sold in a store?
I'll start the bidding at $1000NZD ($750USD) for this: http://www.testntools.co.nz/potato-gun- ... 29910.html
It doesn't have metered propane, a mixing fan, fancy ignition or any cool features. This gun is literally a deoderant-powered, BBQ-sparker-fired spud gun...
Reckon you can find a more expensive one?
Expensive spray and pray..!

To make this device using stock parts from the plumbing shop (using Class D pressure rated fittings) would cost you in the order of $250. Add to that the expense of buying minimum lengths of pipe, specialist tools and other materials etc. WARNING- Do not attempt to construct one of these with DWV (Drain Waste Vent) pipe, it will explode and a trip to the hospital might cost you more that what you saved buying the cheaper pipe.

I will sell you one. $10,000 and you can launch a tennis ball 10 feet, flat. Seriously though, 750 for a spud gun? Bull...
Edit, this is the most expensive I have seen. But its not a spray and pray. But still, $3,500?!

I've bought an igniter from these guys in the past for quite a reasonable price, back then this spray and pray cost like half of that if I remember correctly, seems they've hiked their prices.
Their estimate of $250 for all the components would be correct, the part about paying extra for 5m lengths of pipes isn't correct as you can easily buy per meter at plumbing merchants. 4" PVC would be about $50 per meter (chamber), 2" PVC about $25 per meter (barrel), a 4" - 2" bushing would be maybe $40 (x2), then $30 for a coupler (x2) and then $10 for a 2" threaded plug.
I get about $225 all up for the PVC, then $20 for cement and primer and $5 for igniter.

That $3.5k cannon looks like the are over charging... I dont think that PVC sheet would be cheap, but I still reckon $3.5k is too much. Good that he's using the right valves though. I'm sure I've seen some for sale cannons with a solenoid sprinkler valve for the main valve...

That's cheating, you could probably say you spent $500 on just one burst disk for VERAD_Hall wrote:She's not for sale, obviously, but I spent $5,000 just on bolts for Vera.
Now I'm curious, how much do VERA burst disks cost?

The subject is all about overpriced spudguns that are available for sale
Not just manufacturing cost, but actual cost to the general public.

How about a simple BBMG for over $1000: http://www.xcalibertactical.com/product ... index.html
Granted it's got some pretty funky parts and attachments, and runs on regged HPA, but that doesn't justify the price...
