if i were to make a 1 piece break barrel launcher (think of the m79), being a "spray and pray" would the motion of snapping the barrel shut push the fuel out of the chamber?

Do you want to breech load the projectiles? If so, you probably would be ok. If the chamber was large and tapered at the front where it attaches to the barrel it would probably work. The only other thing I forsee to be an issue would be chamber ventilation.Major Collins wrote:if i were to make a 1 piece break barrel launcher (think of the m79), being a "spray and pray" would the motion of snapping the barrel shut push the fuel out of the chamber?

well okay , yes it would be breach loaded. So lets say a 50mm wide , 20 inch long barrel .The barrel is broken down and a projectile is pushed about a foot along. So now at this stage if i was to spray fuel in , and snap it close.Would i lose fuel while snapping it down?

i suppose so , i thought about make larger grenade cartridges and pre filling but i think getting the spark contacts points to line up every time would be difficult.

YES! i too thought bout this but i can load a round and spray in , making a 2 in one action- supafast. If i syringe meter it i have to load a round close it then probably unscrew a small cap syringe it in and close the cap making it more tedious but i guess more powerful , consistent and effective.Unless there's is quick filling syringe method that can win me over...

If you aren't confident in using the syringe method or the spray and pray you might want to consider this style of fuel metering. It keeps the same basic theory but makes the fuel metering very accurate.

If you want a quick rate of fire, it's a small step to make cartridges once you have a break barrel system in placeMajor Collins wrote:Unless there's is quick filling syringe method that can win me over...
