Why not just cut the fan and make it fit?? You will find that the fan will make the cannon work much better in more ways than one. Good luck happy 4 th of july.

Yes, I got a flame each time I opened the end cap and as I put more propane the flame got bigger so I thought it probably needed more air inside the chamber.

As for the fan, even if I cut the corners it didn't fit in the old launcher, but I've seen it does fit in the new one. Just another question: can I stick the fan to the end cap or is it just efficient if I put it near the middle of the chamber (not necessarily in the middle, but with enough space on both sides of the fan)? Thanks again.

If it was me I would put it near the end but not in the endcap.
